I'll be sure to try it out next time I make it down there. Well, I think the owners of the Mac Shack have more to worry about than the cheese they use. They need to improve their recipe pronto.Sherman Chanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658949865479421864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524766856706642380.post-40312613137838264352011-11-16T06:58:14.330-08:002011-11-16T06:58:14.330-08:00Not sure if you have been to Beecher's Handmad...Not sure if you have been to Beecher's Handmade Cheese in Seattle (near Pike Place Market) but they make a killer mac and cheese. This is even when it is pre-made and let to sit in a warmer while people order it, I found it had a good, thick, cheesy sauce which completely smothers the pasta. Of course, it ain't perfect considering the pasta is overcooked. Not necessarily cheap either: $5 a small serving. But, based on description alone, theirs seem to easily beat this places... Hmmmmm... Could the owners of Mac Shack blame the fact US cheese is "better" than BC's cheese? It's a premade tray from Reser's that you can either bake or microwave (found in the meat section of the store). It's so freaking good. They also make scalloped potatoes and a baked hashbrown gratin. Honestly I usually find all mac 'n cheese to be rather bland but this was excellent. Try this (usually on sale for $3.99) and compare it to $12 + mac 'n cheese you get at a restaurant.Jadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12149394011484385096noreply@blogger.com
