The sad news we learned yesterday was that they are actually closing for good in 3 weeks, after 32 years of running. We felt so lucky to be able to enjoy the awesome food in time.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12791006865024441115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524766856706642380.post-24021444116189716682010-12-15T20:12:46.415-08:002010-12-15T20:12:46.415-08:00Yes, Kim is right. And I only took like one picture of everything, trying to minimize the flash. The restaurant is well-lit in most areas though.Sherman Chanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658949865479421864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524766856706642380.post-72053259314235561122010-12-15T20:08:33.513-08:002010-12-15T20:08:33.513-08:00You finally went! You know me, I intend to find good food out of Vancouver itself. Not everyone lives in Vancouver!

Dee, it was excellent really. Definitely worth the price. I suggest if you do go, save up and do the tasting menu. Only way to go. Not sure about the cooking lessons though. Their website is horrendous!Sherman Chanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658949865479421864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524766856706642380.post-69838404866096704422010-12-14T17:40:00.369-08:002010-12-14T17:40:00.369-08:00My ex-boss at SFU told me about this place and sai...My ex-boss at SFU told me about this place and said it was amazing and her best meal ever. I've wanted to go, but the price tag is really steep! But I really do want to go. But also, the only time I've been to Ladner, was when I got my friend lost when she missed an exit on Hwy 99 back to Surrey hehe..

Do you know if they still have cooking lessons too?Deehttp://www.meplusfood.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1524766856706642380.post-53697732771349546992010-12-13T13:44:14.188-08:002010-12-13T13:44:14.188-08:00Oh, c'mon, after that Tojo's dinner plus t...Oh, c'mon, after that Tojo's dinner plus the Octopus Garden omakase, what is $95/person? Details, minor details! ;)

Good to know there are restaurants out of the "usual suspects" area, aka, Downtown Vancouver, Yaletown, Gastown, Kits, et al. Ratio might not be good but, if it is worth the drive, then it sounds like a good excuse!KimHohttp://imonlyhereforthefood.comnoreply@blogger.com
